Saying Goodbye to Google

By on

ded to say goodbye to Google today. They’ve got great search results for sure, but they’re the man and they’ve got way too much information about me. I’m going to stick with my love for the little guys and the locals. </p>

So what am I going to search the web with? Imma try Mahalo for now. I already bookmark with Ma.gnolia so I’ve avoided Yahoo’s Del.icio.us for a while.

I’m not sure what I’m going to do about email since I’m using Gmail for all of my accounts. I’ll have to work that out. I’ll probably just go back to Thunderbird for a while until I can find a better web-based solution.

So why have I decided to ditch ‘em? I’m not entirely sure yet. Part of it is because of the afformentioned reasons. Another part isbecause I don’t want to put all my eggs in one basket. I’ll be exploring this more in depth in the coming weeks. We’ll see how it goes. In the meantime I expect Bajooter’s traffic and rankings to drop dramatically.
