Leaving the school district

My how the time flies! These posts where you have to catch up on everything that’s happened since the last time you posted are always tough. Where do you start? I guess, in this case, it’s about a month ago.

I started feeling like it was time to move on from the Higley School Districtaround mid-May:

  • My pay was about $19,000 under what the Burea of Labor Statistics had determined to be the average pay for a programmer
  • Our website design company, Bajooter, was starting to look very promising (and profitable)
  • My stress level was through the roof – I took a stress test and got a 508 where very high work-related stress started at 436. In fact, I think I will post that stress test when I get the time. It’s quite revealing. So with a lot of counsel I put in my resignation and began the job hunt.
