It's Arizona: It's Supposed To Be Dead!

This post has stuff about religion. My perspective has changed

It seems that I am a grass killer. In our last house I killed the grass and now in our current house I think I’ve done it again.

At first I thought it was the dogs. They certainly help me out in the task, but that can’t be the sole cause of my crusty brown turf. Then I thought that maybe I was watering too much. I adjusted the timer to water for shorter intervals. The poor grass got worse. So I thought maybe it needs some fertilizer. That didn’t do it. Then I thought maybe the sprinklers weren’t covering properly. I replaced a bunch of them but still, no go.

Finally, I think I may have found the answer. Roger Cook, from This Old House, had this reply to someone asking about their browning lawn:

Water early in the morning instead of the afternoon. Watering in the afternoon can leave the grass blades wet all night, which can lead to fungus. > Roger Cook. > Solution for Brown Grass> . 08 Aug 2006. [Online] > This Old House> .
Now that I think of it, I’ve always watered at night. I asked a friend from church the other day how he keeps his grass so green. He confirmed my findings by informing me that he too waters in the morning. It’s too bad that I won’t be around to enjoy it
