Cambodia: November 29 - December 1

By on

This post has stuff about a previous relationship. My perspective has changed

Believe it or not, this is actually the journal entry for one day, not three as it may seem.

Flew into LA at 7:45PM.  We were an hour late becuase of Southwest – 8:45PM.  Our flight leaves for Cambodia at 11:55PM.  We’ve brought a huge bag filled with medicine (thanks to Troy at VCFT ) for the orphanages but it’s so big we have to check it.  Unfortunately, checking a bag takes about 45 minutes at LAX .  We then have to wait in line to get our boarding passes, then wait in line at the security checkpoint.  We caught up to the team with about 30 minutes before boarding started.  Whew, that was close.  I was getting really anxious.

The moral of the story: leave at least four hours for international travel.  And if you’re flying with Southwest, leave five.

So 10-14 hours to Taipei, Taiwan (I think it’s 10), then three hours to Pnom Phen, Cambodia.  That’s a lot of flying for one/three day/night(s)!

… (Mary fills in the gaps) …

With what’s left of the day, we go see the training center, eat some dinner, and crash.
